On Monday, Alderman Bredemeijer (Education) opened the Diamant Ukrainian School in Mariahoeve. This new, temporary school is a collaboration between primary school De Vuurvlinder (Lucas Onderwijs), 2Vlinders (Kinderopvang 2Samen) and playgroup ‘t Vlindertje (JongLeren). At the moment, education and childcare is offered to approximately 70 Ukrainian children between 2 and 13 years old.

Last Wednesday, children talked to director Zoë Kwint about what they think is important at Out of School Care. Because that’s what it’s all about in the end! Children learn to think along and that they have an influence on their environment.

In 2021, we sent out an (independent) customer survey to all of our customers, to find out what they think of us and our locations. This year, our customers gave us an average score of 8.2. A result we can be proud of, and slightly higher than in 2019. 1584 respondents filled in the survey. This means the results are a reliable indicator of how our services are regarded.

There are over 170 (!) diplomas that qualify for working in out of school care. Many people still think that working in childcare is just about changing nappies and giving bottles. But at our out of school care locations, you can really use your talents! You can play sports all afternoon, build an art workshop, program robots, cook or wander through the dunes. In our campaign, we use pictures of our activities, employees and children.
